Some of the Things that I Know ...

There are some things I do know,
There are some things I don't know,
Some things I think will tear me apart if I know them, and some things I think will tear me apart unless I know them ...

It's taken me a while, but I have learnt, it's not what I don't know that matters.

It's what I do know...

I do know:

*** That my real friends are always there... no matter what. No matter how far they have to travel to be by my side when I need them, those true friends are the ones who count. They are the family who you get to choose. The ones who laugh with you, cry with you, pick you up, brush you down, and tell you not to go out in that ridiculous top! These are the friends who shape your life and love having you around, all the rest are just imprints in the sand that get washed away with the tide.

***How I deserve, and want to be treated. Every one has heartache at some point in their life, (and if you don't you are one of the lucky few) but it's what helps us learn about not only ourselves, but what we want from the lives we have to live. If everything was easy it would never need to be fixed, it would never be broken or falling apart, and we would never know the real strength that every single one of us has!

***What I like. I know that it doesn't matter whether you like the same as me or the complete opposite, that's okay. Because everyone is not meant to like exactly the same colour, or flower, or food or music. I do not need to be told what I should or should not like, as I have grown to know for myself... Thank you very much. And like my Mum and Dad, and Auntie Mini have always said, when you have found that one person, that best friend who loves you for exactly who you are, your little faults become obsolete, and the love that you have for one another keeps you together. He or she will become the half that keeps you afloat when your drowning and everybody struggles to swim through life at some point.

***The most important thing to me is family, and one day I will have my own, who depend on me. But for the unforeseeable future, I rely on mine. Each and every one of them! The parents who guide me through life, help me make the right choices and despite the wrong choices love me whole-heartedly. The Brother, who despite the terror years, has grown up to be one of the only men I truly trust and respect. The Grandparents who get left to pick up the pieces, give out hugs, offer tea and a safe haven away from the frantic real world. Who have a lot to say and a whole lot of experience to back it up. The Aunt and Uncle who are mediators, the shoulder to cry on, the ones to enjoy time with away from the stress, that sometimes gets overwhelming at home... The cousin who chooses to listen and be your friend, who will always be your wingman and you will always be hers. The one that doesn't judge, just stands by you and makes you smile.... No one can replace these people, and if I could choose my own I would choose the exact same ones, as the ones I already have!

Even when we feel down we need to consider what we have... we could be much worse off, no matter how awful everything feels at the time. We need to remember that family will always be there, and are the ones we turn to in times of real need, but we also need to stand on our own two feet to learn for ourselves.

***What I want out of life... and no matter how long it takes I will get it... and I will be smiling 99.99% of the time.

I also know that my opinion will not matter to everyone, but that this is out of my control. And that some peoples opinions will not matter to me but they will voice them anyway!! This is the way of the world. If we can hold on to what we know and not panic about what we don't know and can't control, happiness is easier to find in life!

If it wasn't for the tears we wouldn't know how to smile... If it wasn't for the pain we wouldn't know happiness... and if it wasn't for the heart ache we wouldn't know love.

The Graduation Day!!!

It finally arrived...

It was a super early start, as we had to get from home to Kent for 8:30 am. I got up early, washed my hair, and did all the usual girly things to get ready, prepping for the big day!

I had searched high and low for the perfect dress and after changing my mind on a few dresses I opted for one that was slightly different, but colours that would go with my graduation robe and hood.

I was really happy and comfortable in my dress so felt confident on the day. I was also extremely impressed with all the other girls outfits who looked suitably gorgeous. And despite the initial fear, NO-ONE wore the same outfit! OR fell over during the ceremony!!!! Thank our lucky stars.

A MASSIVE thanks to everyone for their support, and all the staff at UCA Rochester who made the course so enjoyable!

It was so nice spending time with family and friends who were all so proud! We spent a lovely evening at the fabulous little restaurant in the old town Hemel Hempstead; Restaurant 65. I got to eat great food, drink great wine, and champagne and spend it with my nearest and dearest! PERFECT.

Me and my Pal Sarah got too see each other again after not seeing her for a while, so that too was very good! She looked lovely as ever!

The day turned out to be beautiful, which helped with the picture taking, and also the after ceremony drinks and BBQ that was put on by the University. Very tasty!!!

Let me know what you think of my dress, and if you graduated what you wore!!!

Share a smile and be happy,

Enjoy

Rachel Hudson's Art: The Lastest Creation...

So yet another amazing painting by Mummy Hudson

She has been asked to do a few things for charity events and friends, which she is more than happy to do. It allows her creative freedom whilst also showcasing what awesome things she can do!!

You have to excuse the mess, this is my mums painting studio/ where-every-thing-gets-put!

These two were created for a charity event, beautiful in yellows, gold and silver.

Her latest task, was to create a large painting for a company called Chess Properties, and estate agents. They asked Mummy Hudson to design something that would somehow involve the Chess theme, using chess pieces for example, and sticking to their colour theme of black, white and red.

So far so good i'd say...

Keep your eyes peeled for a finished image!!! :D

Enjoy

Forever Friends Bracelets...

At Vanyas this week I have been looking at all sorts of friendship bracelets...

I wear a selection of bracelets all the time, most of which have meaning to me...

I have my Blue Toby's Dream Band, an amethyst bangle from my Ma and Pa for my 22nd birthday, my Red Herring watch, a J bangle from Harrods, also a purple beaded beauty i made myself! And then what you can't see here, I have a special silver bangle from my daddy :) and a silver bangle from my aunt and uncle for my 21st, so lots going on.

I tend to keep most of these on, but take of the larger items to sleep, shower etc.

So when I was trawling the web for more friendship bracelets I found LOADSSS that I wanted .... opps, even more to add to the unaffordable Lust List...

The most obvious one would be the Links Of London friendship bracelet... I particularly like the two following colours, although they may get a tad dirty!
Pics from Links Of London

Being super close to my Mummy Hudson, I am o so fond of these special edition Mother and Baby friendship bracelets by Links Of London
Mother and Baby Links Of London.

But we all know Links of London are rather expensive, more to lust after! I also found some more purse friendly options that I love, and hope you might too...

These Links Of London lookalikes from amazon are only £9.99...

Ebay Bracelet

I really like this style of bracelet, and as much as I would love a real Links one, that will have to wait, but one of these similar styles would do for now.

Majique Bangle
Marc Jacobs Bangle

I really like these final friendship bracelets, I love the little messages, the simple thread and the little dangly extra is beautiful. I definitly want one from someone special... and am thinking a few of my besties are due a thank you from me too... :)

Ps at £7.50 a pop they are an absolute bargain, and a lovely little gift to one of your closest buddies. :)

Enjoy,

Pure London 2011...

Today me and my lovely mum went to Pure London 2011 :D

We both had a really nice day and enjoyed browsing all the trade companies at the event...

Chinese Laundry were a fave for the feet, whilst the brand Cushh had a gorgeous s/s collection on show. Tokyo Jane is a definite one-to-watch, their snap bangles are going to be huge!!!! :D

We even casually bumped into Zandra Rhodes. A lot of fun for one day! And a really nice day out with Mummy Hudson!
