Regal Rose...

If you have never heard of them... Where Have You Been Hiding?????

This delightful jewellery brand is run by twin sisters Rebecca and Louisa, and the fashion forward, funky but feminine jewellery is a must have for every aspiring fashionistas wardrobe.

Not only can you pop over to their website to check out some of their gorgeous designs, but you can also share and win on facebook, with their tag prize draw.

I love their selection of eclectic cuff rings, and not to mention the extremely covetable locket necklaces.

And to make them even more desirable, they are affordable!!
How can we resist?!?!?

Instinct PR ...

So it turns out there is no job placement to fill. :( (feels sorry for self)

But not to worry, keep smiling!

I have been asked to stay on for one more week, and already have an interview scheduled next week, so the next part of my fashion career begins to unravel in front of me...

This interview will hopefully lead to another internship, from which I can gain even more PR experience and ultimately help me develop my knowledge so I can aim for a job!

It's all part and parcel of being a fashion graduate I suppose! Hopefully it will all fall in to place and I will work my butt off until I get a job.

Until then...

Smile.

A little bit more Instinct PR ...

So it is coming to the end of my 2 week scheduled internship with Instinct PR. I have been doing the day - to day jobs of a Press assistant/officer, and have really enjoyed my time here.

I will be sitting down with the team tomorrow and discussing the future, which could lead to a number of things:

*Staying on as an intern for a bit longer
*Looking elsewhere for other intern/job opportunities
*OR (the one I am most hoping for) getting offered a permanent placement on the team.

Fingers crossed for me please!

I really like the people I work with here, and love the mixture of responsibility, hard work and fun.
The more time I have spent here, the more I have adapted to the way they work and I feel like I am now in sync with the team, knowing what to do when I am left to my own devises.

Let's hope it all works out for the best.

Don't forget to share a smile and keep checking in for the news, whatever it may be!

The Graduation Day!!!

It finally arrived...

It was a super early start, as we had to get from home to Kent for 8:30 am. I got up early, washed my hair, and did all the usual girly things to get ready, prepping for the big day!

I had searched high and low for the perfect dress and after changing my mind on a few dresses I opted for one that was slightly different, but colours that would go with my graduation robe and hood.

I was really happy and comfortable in my dress so felt confident on the day. I was also extremely impressed with all the other girls outfits who looked suitably gorgeous. And despite the initial fear, NO-ONE wore the same outfit! OR fell over during the ceremony!!!! Thank our lucky stars.

A MASSIVE thanks to everyone for their support, and all the staff at UCA Rochester who made the course so enjoyable!

It was so nice spending time with family and friends who were all so proud! We spent a lovely evening at the fabulous little restaurant in the old town Hemel Hempstead; Restaurant 65. I got to eat great food, drink great wine, and champagne and spend it with my nearest and dearest! PERFECT.

Me and my Pal Sarah got too see each other again after not seeing her for a while, so that too was very good! She looked lovely as ever!

The day turned out to be beautiful, which helped with the picture taking, and also the after ceremony drinks and BBQ that was put on by the University. Very tasty!!!

Let me know what you think of my dress, and if you graduated what you wore!!!

Share a smile and be happy,

Tomorrow is the big day!!!!

Helllloooo...

So far Instinct PR has been great! the people = Fab, the clients = Fab, just Fab Fab Fab.

I had a reasonably calm weekend, visiting the local moor, for mini festival "Music on the Moor", which show cases local bands and with good weather, which we were lucky enough to have (most of the time), it is a brilliant excuse for a knees up!

I had a good laugh and chilled out with friends and family, which I love.

On another note... Tomorrow, I graduate!!!!!!

Scary, it has come round so fast! But that will truly be it! The end of my education, although you never truly stop learning.

I am really looking forward to the day, catching up with friends and collecting my degree. And then spending the evening with the people closets to be for celebratory dinner and drinks...

I'll blog a few pics of me in all the gear to so keep your eyes peeled for an update!

Another Internship... Instinct PR

Sooo I managed to get another internship with Instinct PR, which I am very happy about!

I started today, and so far so good, the people I work with are lovely, and it is completely different to being in the fashion cupboard! I'm not surrounded by clothes this time, but instead dealing in public relations with clients, lookbooks and research.
Updating the facebook page and twitter, as well as keeping up to date on all the press coverage for the clients!

I LOVE IT!

Check it out on facebook, and twitter!!! :D

InStyle @ The Blue Fin

So being at InStyle was incredible, and now I begin my search again, for more internships and fingers crossed a job!!!

But on a lighter note, the view from THe Blue Fin building outside lunch area was amazing, just a little something to share with you, me and Jodie loved it, what do you think? :D

Also what with the lovely weather, here is another outfit for you... I had a lovely bbq evening event, and this is what i wore :D

A little bit of animal print in neutral goes a long long way, so I kept it simple with a cinched in waist and classic hair and make-up.

GFW... Graduate Fashion Week...

So, I made it! I was picked out of my whole year, along with 2 other girls, to go to GFW, for the Marketing and Branding competition. Unfortunately none of us won, but what an achievement to have made it so far!!

I got through to the GFW stage for my Final Major Project, which was based on re-designing and re-branding Jewellery by Vanya, a lovely little vintage inspired, fashionable jewellery brand. I created a new website and marketing report as well as redesigning the business cards and a few added extras. I was really pleased with my project, which I got a First for!! :D So was even more ecstatic when my tutor asked me to go to GFW.

We (UCA Rochester Fashion Promotion Students) also had an exhibition of out own, at the OXO Tower, which was amazing. There were so many more people at the event than I had ever imagined there would be and it turned out to be a really fabulous evening.

Seeing other peoples work at GFW was also very inspiring, the way some people displayed their work, and the ideas they had was incredible, not to mention all the fabulous clothes designed by the students!

Well done to everyone who was there!

And remember to share a smile!

InStyle = Amazing

So my lack of blogging recently has been mainly down to the fact that I have been working my butt of trying to get internships and hopefully eventually a job!

My month has involved a fabulous but manic 1 month internship with InStyle magazine, which has been incredible!!!

I worked mainly in the fashion cupboard, doing the usual intern jobs, such as keeping it tidy and organised and returning all the clothes once they have been shot, or edited out.

It was beyond amazing being surrounded by gorgeous clothes, shoes, bags and other accessories all day!!! The girls I worked with were amazing, and the fashion assistants i worked under were incredible too!!

I even got to go on a shoot with Robyn Kotze and Amanda Bellan, but what happened on the shoot stays on the shoot I'm afraid! All I can say was it was amazing, and what an experience!!!

I really enjoyed my time with InStyle and learnt soooo much, it was a shame I had to leave, but I must get more experience and fingers crossed an internship that will lead me to a job in the fashion industry that I am going to Love Love Love doing!

Share a Smile...

One lesson I have learnt, that I want to share with all of you, is Share a Smile...

A small smile can go a long long way, and sometimes people won't smile back, but sometimes they will, a smile can be infectious, so start the smile trend and see someone else's eyes light up all thanks to your little smile!!!

Always try to help a friend in need.

Believe in yourself !

Do what you love…
Study hard!

Give lots of kisses!

Laugh often

Don't be overly concerned with your weight, it's just a number.

Always try to see the glass half full…

Meet new people, even if they look different to you.

Remain calm, even when it seems hopeless

Take lots of naps..

Be weird whenever you have the chance!

Love your friends, no matter who they are!

Don't waste food…

~ RELAX ~

Take an occasional risk…

Try to have a little fun each day.
...it's important!

Be Patriotic – support the troops!
Share a joke with friends!

Fall in love with someone...

...and say 'I love you' often.

Express yourself creatively…

Be conscious of your appearance.

Always be up for surprises…

Love someone with all of your heart!

Share with friends…

Watch your step!

Hang in there….it will get better!

There is always someone who loves you more than you know…

Exercise to keep fit…

Live up to your name.

Seize the Moment!

Hold on to good friends; they are few and far between.

Indulge in the things you truly love…
in moderation.

Cherish every Sunday!

At the end of the day... PRAY.

...... And close your eyes
And smile at least once a day!

And Remember...
